Is Here I Am Orphan Ministries an adoption agency?
No, we are not an agency. Among it's other ministries, HIA exists to raise awareness of the plight of orphans around the world and to connect loving families with children who are available for adoption. We do not endorse any particular agencies, but for your convience, a list of some Christian adoption agencies for you to consider can be found in the Lighting the Way portion of the website. We strongly encourage you to use only licensed agencies that have a good reputation and verifiable references.
How can I talk to someone from the ministry who has personally adopted from a country I am considering? Can I talk to someone who has used an agency on your references list?
Contact us and let us know a little bit about what you're looking for, and we would love to help connect you with someone who has gone through the adoption process and who can provide you with advice, suggestions, and encouragement.
Is Here I Am Orphan Ministries associated with a particular church or denomination?
No, the leadership and families involved with HIA represent many different evangelical Christian churches throughout Texas. Ministry leadership all agree upon the HIA Statement of Faith which you can read on the Ministry Values page of this site. If you have any questions about the Statement of Faith, please contact us; a ministry representative will be happy to speak with you and answer your questions.
